According to Warner Home Video, The Dark Knight sold over 600,000 Blu-ray copies Tuesday and is expected to top the one million mark by this Saturday.
"In the first two days across those three territories, Blu-ray Disc sales are running between 25% and 30% of total sales, which is a massive number," said Ron Sanders, President of Warner Home Video.
"We had expected Blu-ray to account for a significant percentage of sales, but not quite this high, which speaks well for the format. It's really catching on with consumers."
With Blu-ray sales continuing to rise, it's only a matter of time before the majority of consumers make the transition to Sony’s next-gen format.
